Mr Hugh’s is produced by Larchwood Foods Ltd, a company formed by local family run farming business, Maurice Mason Ltd based at Fincham, Norfolk. The Mason family have been farming in this beautiful part of the British countryside for over 200 years. Hugh took over the running of the business from his father, Maurice, when he was 22 and manages our family farms throughout the region, including the centre of our business at Hall Farm.
Hall Farm grows oil seed rape, wheat and sugar beet across 5,000 acres of land, and is home to our storage barns, dryer, offices and production and bottling plant.
As a family-run business, we like to add a personal touch to everything we do – each of our fields has a name derived from the history of the farm and even our vehicles have their own names! Our two combine harvesters, Clarence and Edi, along with our tractors, Hannah and Sally and Rebecca the lorry are part of the family, and each play a vital role within the everyday running of the farm.

We also take great pride in our business and always make sure that we farm in a responsible and sustainable way. We strongly believe in optimising our output in a way that is not wasteful or harmful to the land. Our soil is consistently cared for so that it can be used year in year out, ensuring that our crops are always of the highest quality and that our products are delicious and healthy every time.
We nurture our crops at every stage using a mixture of traditional and modern farming methods. Perfecting the art of farming, as well as seeing what technology can achieve for the benefit of the crop, is something we constantly strive for.
